Insignificance
Grains of sand fall and fly,
tossed all together in a desert storm,
collude and collide and live and die
then proudly claim all power and form
Ego, senses and a rational arrogance
equally blinded by these are men
so ignorant of their gigantic insignificance
the sinner, the king and the unforgiven.

Have you read Gabriel Garcia Marquez? In particular, One Hundred Years of Solitude? If you haven't, do so at the earliest. I daresay you'll like it.
