A flower, a life

I sprang on a stalk,
a thin, anxious bud
just couldnt wait to assume,
the beauty of a flower

Bloomed with the wind,
and sang to the rain,
Then suddenly, I was plucked,
my youth was snatched away,

until life sprung a surprise
when a queen tucked me neat
to adorn her glorious hair
and put me on top of the world

but not for long does the mirror lie
and I fell down hard on the floor
as back she stepped to take off her wig,
just happened to crush me under her toe.

Insignificance

Grains of sand fall and fly,
tossed all together in a desert storm,
collude and collide and live and die
then proudly claim all power and form

Ego, senses and a rational arrogance
equally blinded by these are men
so ignorant of their gigantic insignificance
the sinner, the king and the unforgiven.
